Tattoos by Paku Bwale

After getting his first tattoo and having a bad experience Bwale felt pushed away from tattoos and the thought of tattooing for many years, but was always painting and drawing in an abstract way using lines and shapes.

When tattooing found Bwale again several years later he was far from a fan of tribal work until he began to study different indigenous cultures and how they lay patterns on the body to compliment the humans natural figure, he fell in love with black work tattooing, believing although it may seem simplistic the complexity of creating symmetrical work on a body that’s not works together to make a powerful juxtaposition
